Embracing a World in Flux

I’m constantly amazed by the skill, vision and fortitude of Public Interest Management Group’s clients - nonprofit organizations attacking some of the greatest challenges of the messy times we live in. It’s a privilege and an honor to work with and get to know you all. Progressive change is a journey, not an event, and we’re happy to be on the train with you.

The past year brought many highlights, for example:

  • Strategic planning with the National Immigration Law Center and Advancement Project California, two leaders on the front lines of the immigrants’ rights and racial justice movements

  • Business planning with Oregon MESA, a powerhouse STEM education provider with great growth potential

  • A range of projects with cutting-edge environmental organizations, including the League of Conservation Voters and the Land Trust Accreditation Commission

  • Organizational structure and design work with mental health providers proactively addressing radical system change in California and Washington

  • Formation of a new foundation from multiple institutions in the Seattle Colleges system, in partnership with Jan Glick and Associates

  • Consolidation of three housing and shelter providers into a unique new Wisconsin nonprofit called Pillars, in partnership with Vista Global Coaching and Consulting

  • A successful intensive workshop, Strategic Financial Management for Nonprofit Executives, in partnership with Washington Nonprofits, Nonprofit Association of Oregon, Impact Foundry and Volunteer Victoria.

Warm thanks too, to our partner consultants for helping to make all this possible: May Stelletello, Mona Jones-Romansic, Deborah Edward, Jan Glick, David Schor, Amy Varga and the newest members of the PIMG family, Andrea Langlois, Aaron Sukenik and Sharon Howe. Their talent, good natures and commitment to client service makes even the tough projects a pleasure!

There’s plenty more to do… and it feels like this ride is just beginning.
