Strategic Financial Management for Nonprofit Executives

Nonprofit CEOs are asked to do almost everything, including leading their organization's financial strategy. This advanced session digs into the critical topic of strategic financial management from an executive director's perspective. Using case studies and interactive discussion, the group will explore the dynamics of financial sustainability, common obstacles to fiscal health, and best leadership practices for successful outcomes. Participants will leave with an understanding of the "three dimensions" of financial management and tangible tools they can apply immediately.

Merger and Strategic Partnerships
for Nonprofits

In this hands-on workshop, nonprofit leaders will learn about a range of options to restructure organizations, with goals of having a greater mission impact and financial sustainability. Merger is one of several alternatives, and we’ll examine the benefits and pitfalls of each, along with methods for evaluating them. We’ll also cover proven success factors and a systematic process for pursuing a merge. Participants will be equipped to tackle big questions affecting the future of their organizations.

Unlocking the Financial Power of HR Management

The way you manage human resources can have a huge impact on your organization’s mission impact as well as financial performance. This workshop explores the impact of staff morale, retention and productivity on your fiscal health and bottom line. We look at tangible practices for boosting results, including compensation policies, management practices and recruitment strategies. In this discussion-oriented session, we’ll also tie HR management directly to strategic and financial planning, as a key driver of organizational success.
