In partnership with the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, Public Interest Management Group conducted a pilot study of the Success Factor Analysis organizational assessment methodology. This report documents evaluation findings and data results, offering insights about best (and worst) nonprofit management practices.
The assessment process included 15 nonprofits of varying subsectors, budget sizes and lifecycle stages, and was successful in identifying opportunities and priorities for organizational improvement for all participants. Nonprofit leaders largely found the process to be efficient, informative and helpful in shaping dialogue within organizations. All participants indicated their assessment will inform future strategies. The report details data findings on management practices and attributes most closely associated with success, in the areas of Strategy, Culture, Operations and Business Model.
